Now I am having a complete cycle on Linux for my photographs :)
Shoot, store in the folder by year/month/shootname style, then see the photos in gthumb or any other viewer and open in Gimp, do the post process and save it in another folder as jpeg. I only shoot in RAW format which is .nef files for my case (I am having a Nikon D80).
Only thing I was missing, was a solution for HDR photographs. And that problem is also solved now by some great guys with a work called Qtpfsgui. Some sample outputs are given below :)

It is mostly typing “^@”, in the command mode of vi, in the konsole sometimes. It is also typing/pasting random texts from within the file in vi :)
And sometimes the whole keyboard is freezing….

Last couple of days I saw some mails in my college mailing about summer trainings offered by various training companies. In my personal experience of the meeting the students who attended these trainings, most of them are with void knowledge after the training. The companies will just take the money from the students and they will provide the certificates no matter the students attend the classes or not.
After thinking on this I thought of going ahead to provide a summer training course at dgplug. You can find the course structure here. As the local lug from Durgapur , we are trying to catch students from different colleges in the locality. The main target behind the course is simple , after finishing, the students must be capable of working on different Free Software projects. All classes will be on IRC :) I already got couple of applications.
