Again I tried to run Kmail and the load average went 34. Screen shot is here. In top I can see many kio_file process opened.
yum updatetried to install Kernel i586 whereas i686 version is already installed. I found that dependency came from kmod-ndiswrapper , the livna repo. No idea why !!
Last night I updated my laptop to Fedora 8 (Werewolf) from Fedora 7. Updating process went well from the DVD. I rebooted the system and started doing a
yum updatewhich tried to get *.fc7.rpm updates from the repos. After trying few things a
yum clean allsolved the problem. daMaestro helped me to fix this. Then I opened Kmail in Gnome and the load average went to 22 , I took a screen shot after few seconds.
Other things went well, no wait!!, Amarok stopped playing my mp3 files :( .
After two months I am back in Bangalore. Reached yesterday morning. Had a big operation , they took 3 hours for that. Now I can move my right hand around 4 inches. Doctors said it will take around 5-6 months to be normal. So, learning how to use the left hand for everything!!

Tomorrow morning I am going back home. Hopefully the surgery will be done in the next week.
Just now Sir (VC , WBUT ) informed me that we will get Bijra systems within next week. So, I will be able to see them in action. We are using Fedora in these LTSP systems. I will also try to arrange some meeting of the dgplug members this time.

Today morning, I just sneezed once and my right shoulder dislocated :(
After 2 years this thing happened again and as the doctors said last time (and this time also) I have to undergo an operation. For now they fixed my right hand with my body using tapes and no movement for 1 month. they also said I should do the operation in between. Don’t know how many days after that.
So, all my works are going to be delayed……

Today , Trolltech announced that Qtopia® Phone Edition, has been ported to the Neo1973 or to OpenMoko :) and in the same time it will be available under GPL . Read the press release here.
Again Trolltech is showing their support to the open source community. Just waiting to see a Neo with Qtopia on it :)
I am back!!
Last one month I was away from all the work I used to do. Now trying to get back to my normal life :p
What I was (actually is) doing: Packaging around 58 debian packages, yes debian, for my office work. And most of them are my team’s code, so in the same time testing & fixing job is going on. Jace is trying to convert me into a ubuntu guy and that I will not be. I am still very much happy with Fedora. Btw, among those debian packages, some are windows appplications , strange , isn’t it :)
Other news:
A new mailing list for dgplug. We are again trying to use mails for communication among us. Currently everything is IRC/phone based.
Fixing Chotha for the first release.
Spending time on photos. Some are here.
Sent a proposal to my college management for a new college website. The current sites suck a lot. You can see some beautiful comments about them . The proposal is here. And a jpeg version of the ideas.
New problem: Now a days , I am making one grammatical mistake in every two lines I speak.

Yes, side effect. She bought a new camera, started taking pictures of fruits I bought, so, no eating :( I also started looking at things. Result : I borrowed Nikon D70 from Jace and started experiments .
